The St. Clair County Health Care Commission and the Get Up & Go! Campaign
The St. Clair County Health Care Commission is a collaborative community health alliance that mobilizes resources to meet identified health needs and promote the health and well-being of all of the residents of St. Clair County.
Since 1991, the Commission has worked to develop and strengthen the collective capacity of our efforts and expertise to assess and address the public health needs of the citizens of St. Clair County. Since inception, Commission partnerships have increased fourfold, and have been recognized as a statewide and national model for collaboration.
This year the Commission is once again working with the volunteers from the Get Up & Go! Campaign to convene the annual Health Policy Summit. The Summit is designed to engage community leaders across community sectors to join the movement, learn more about the health priorities that jeopardize our county’s health, and initiate change through strategic community building.
The mission of the Get Up & Go Campaign is to influence, inspire, and connect people in the St. Louis Metro East to create healthier communities through healthy eating and active living.
